Jonathan received degrees in Communications and Psychology from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He currently serves as executive director of Be Broken Ministries, a national outreach that assists sex addicts and their families find the help they need. He has written or co-written six workbooks on overcoming sex addiction and shame. Jonathan is also host of a weekly radio program, Pure Sex Radio, which is heard throughout the world by podcast. He is in demand nationally as a speaker for sexual integrity issues, godly manhood, and marriage enrichment. After 13 years of sexual addiction nearly ruined his marriage and career, Jonathan got help and, since 2000, has been helping men win the battle for sexual integrity.
At the heart of Jonathan's ministry is the message of hope and grace. Millions of people around the globe (Christians included) are trapped in a world of sexually addictive behaviors. They feel dirty, ashamed, and damaged. Deep down they doubt anyone could love them if their secrets were known. These are the people to whom Jonathan is drawn, sharing a message of God's infinite love, immeasurable grace, and undying pursuit of hurting people. With passion, biblical knowledge, and even humor, Jonathan has a knack for leading people out of the dark and into the light.
